Connecticut indie-pop band Cheerleader only have three songs released right now, but all three of them are great! I saw them featured on a list of bands who were giving away their music for free on Bandcamp (one of my favorite ways to discover new music). Their name and album artwork caught my interest, and “New Daze” got me hooked. Somewhere in between Matt & Kim’s loudness, MGMT’s electronics, and Smith Westerns’ feel-good-anthems, comes Cheerleader. Download “New Daze” and “Dreamer” for free on their Bandcamp page!
